RESOURCES
Whiteboards or LED board are a great way to encourage your child to write, practice spellings or multiplications.
Learning posters to put in your kitchen or your child's bedroom, to learn times tables, phonics, geography etc.

Twinkl Parents offers lots of interesting articles and resources to support parents.
GAMES
Brain Boxes are very good for general knowledge and memory. Any "tell the story" picture cards - lots of resources on the Internet/Pinterest.
Shut the Box is a great game for Maths support.
Play a game of Scrabble Junior.
Lego is fantastic for imagination but is also a useful tool to develop maths skills. Check out some ideas here.
OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL
Scouts/Beavers/Rainbows/Brownies groups are highly recommended for life skills and making friends - see Avon Scouts and Girl Guiding
Holiday clubs and camps: these are for your children when you are working, they provide fun days full of sports, games and arts and crafts. St Bon’s offers a Holiday club.
